Pre-orders open on Friday 16 October 2026 at 14:00 CEST. The phone arrives on Friday 23 October 2026. Day-one delivery goes to whoever orders in the first hour, so this page is a checklist, not an essay.

Six steps to a 23 October delivery

Create accounts and save payment details before Friday
Make an Apple ID with a Dutch address and a card saved in Wallet, and log in at Coolblue and bol. Checkout on pre-order day takes under a minute when nothing needs typing.

Decide storage and colour in advance
At previous iPhone launches the dark colour in the base storage went first, so expect 256 GB Night Sky to slip earliest. Star White or 512 GB is the safer bet for a day-one delivery. Decide now, do not browse at 14:00.

Open the Apple Store app at 13:55
The Apple Store iOS app is faster than the website. Apple usually adds a "Get ready" option in the app a few days before pre-order; once it appears, save colour, storage, trade-in and payment so that on Friday you tap once. Have Apple Pay set up.

Order at 14:00 CEST on 16 October
Place the order immediately. Orders in the first hour normally get 23 October delivery; after that the estimate slips by weeks, starting with the dark colour in the base storage.

Back up with a second order if delivery slips
If Apple shows November, place a second order at Coolblue or bol (free cancellation, 30-day returns) and cancel whichever arrives later.

Set up a trade-in and eSIM transfer
Apple Trade In gives instant credit at checkout. Move your number via eSIM Quick Transfer on the new phone; the Duo has no SIM tray.
Pre-order per channel
Apple Store (online and app)
The biggest allocation and the only place with every colour and storage tier on day one. Use the Apple Store app: Apple usually adds a "Get ready" option a few days before pre-order that lets you save your configuration, trade-in and payment so that on Friday you tap once. Pickup at the Apple Stores in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Den Haag is also offered; slots go fast but pickup stock is separate from delivery stock, so it is a useful second option. Coolblue
Product pages go live the week before with a "notify me" button; use it. Coolblue charges via iDEAL at order or card at shipment, delivers next day including Sundays and gives 30 days to return. On previous iPhone launches Coolblue had the largest stock after Apple. coolblue.nl
bol, MediaMarkt, Amazon.nl
bol lists the Duo via third-party sellers as well as its own stock; check that the seller is "bol" for the 30-day returns. MediaMarkt is the only chain with in-store pickup on 23 October outside Apple. Amazon.nl opens later on the day and is worth a look if everything else has slipped. bol · MediaMarkt · Amazon.nl
Carriers: KPN, Odido, Vodafone (via Belsimpel or Mobiel.nl)
Pre-orders open at the same time but need a BSN, Dutch IBAN and a BKR credit check, so the order is not confirmed until the check passes, typically the same day. Duo bundles are not announced yet; at previous iPhone launches the device discount against a 2-year plan was typically €100 to €300. iPhone Duo pre-order: questions
When do iPhone Duo pre-orders open in the Netherlands?
Friday 16 October 2026 at 14:00 CEST (Dutch time). That is 13:00 in the UK and 08:00 Eastern in the US. Apple, Coolblue, bol, MediaMarkt, Amazon.nl and the carriers all open at the same moment.
When will the iPhone Duo be delivered?
First deliveries and in-store availability are on Friday 23 October 2026. Orders placed in the first hour of pre-order usually arrive on that day; later orders get a delivery estimate that slips by weeks. At previous iPhone launches the dark colour in the base storage was the first to slip, so 256 GB Night Sky is the tier to order fastest.
Do I pay at pre-order or at delivery?
Apple authorises the card at order and charges it when the phone ships. Coolblue and bol charge at order (iDEAL) or at shipment (card, pay later). Carriers only bill once the contract starts. Cancelling before shipment is free everywhere.
Can I pre-order from outside the Netherlands for delivery in the Netherlands?
Yes. Any Dutch shop delivers to a Dutch address regardless of where you order from; you need a Dutch delivery address and a card that passes 3-D Secure. apple.com/nl also accepts foreign cards. Amazon.nl and Coolblue also ship to Belgium.
Should I pre-order or wait for reviews?
Pre-ordering at Coolblue or bol costs nothing to undo: cancel before shipment or return within 30 days. Pre-ordering at Apple gives 14 days. If you are unsure, order on 16 October to hold a delivery slot; reviews usually land in the week before release, and Apple has not announced a date, so you will most likely have read them before the phone ships.
Does pre-ordering with a carrier get me the phone faster?
Usually slower. KPN, Odido and Vodafone receive smaller allocations than Apple and Coolblue, and the credit check adds a step. If day-one delivery matters, buy outright and add a SIM-only plan.
