iPhone Duo price in the Netherlands (all storage tiers)
The iPhone Duo costs €2,339 in the Netherlands for 256 GB and tops out at €3,839 for 2 TB. All prices below are Apple's list prices of 9 September 2026 including VAT; shops match them at launch.

Buying in Germany saves €40. When is that worth it?
Germany's 19% VAT (versus 21% in the Netherlands) makes every iPhone Duo tier exactly €40 cheaper at Apple Germany: €2,299 instead of €2,339 for 256 GB. The warranty is identical: Apple's 1-year worldwide warranty and the 2-year EU legal guarantee both apply, and any Dutch Apple Store will service it.
The catch is logistics. apple.com/de does not ship to Dutch addresses. German retailers such as Amazon.de and MediaMarkt.de generally do, but at launch they charge Apple's German list price and often shipping on top, so the saving shrinks to a few euros. That leaves three realistic routes:
- Apple Store pickup in Germany. Order on apple.com/de for collection in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Oberhausen or Berlin, pay with any card, show ID at pickup. Worth it if you live near the border or are there anyway. A return trip from Utrecht to Düsseldorf costs more than €40 in fuel or train tickets.
- Amazon.de or MediaMarkt.de delivering to the Netherlands. No travel, but check the shipping fee and the delivery estimate: launch stock at German retailers is smaller than at Apple, and a return goes back to Germany.
- A friend or colleague in Germany who receives the parcel from apple.com/de. Works, but the 2-year legal claim is then against Apple Germany and the invoice is in their name. Fine for most people; awkward if you need a warranty replacement in year two.
Our advice: if you are already in Germany the week of 23 October, pick it up there. Otherwise the €40 is not worth a day of travel, and the Dutch shop gives you 30-day returns (Coolblue, bol) that Apple Germany's 14 days does not.
The UK is never cheaper for EU residents: £1,999 plus import VAT and duty when you bring it into the Netherlands. The US price of $1,999 looks tempting but excludes sales tax, and a US model imported into the EU should have 21% Dutch VAT declared at customs.
Price per gigabyte and monthly cost
The 512 GB model is the cheapest per gigabyte. The monthly figure is the device price divided by 24, which is how Dutch carriers present toestelkrediet before any discount.

Three things follow from the table. First, the jump from 256 GB to 512 GB costs €250, the smallest step and the only one most people should consider. Second, 1 TB and 2 TB cost more per gigabyte than 512 GB while adding capacity almost nobody fills on a phone. Third, if a carrier quotes you less than €97 a month for the 256 GB device part, the difference is a real discount; if they quote more, they have folded plan costs or interest into the number.
Since 2017 any device credit above €250 is a consumer loan under Dutch law, which is why carriers register it with BKR. They currently charge 0% interest, but a device discount is often offset by a pricier plan, so compare the total cost over 24 months, not the monthly figure.
